Who   We   Are   According to   PSALM  100

We live in a world that is full of trouble, struggles, and woes. So it is easy for us to live thanklessly. On any given day, we can find many reasons to complain.

PSALM  100  is  A  Hymn  of  Praise!

1.   Sing to the Lord, all the world!

2.   Worship the Lord with joy; come before Him with happy songs!

3.   Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to Him; we are His people, we are His flock.

4.   Enter the Temple gates with thanksgiving; go into its courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise Him.

5.   The Lord is good; His love is eternal and His faithfulness lasts forever.

We are God's people, and PSALM 100 exhorts us to be glad, joyful, and thankful. Because "it is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture" (PSALM 100:3). As we remember who we are, we can respond in thanksgiving. Because in the worst of times, too, we can remember Christ's love and sacrifice for us.

Let not the brutality of the world take away our thankful hearts. Let us always remember that we are God's children.  Let us reconnect with the Cross and grow in awareness of His goodness and mercy shown to us on the Cross.

"But you are the chosen race, the King's priests, the holy nation,God's own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into His own marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).

I thank You, Lord. My heart can grow cold at times.

When I remember that I am Yours and You are mine, I am encouraged yet again.

Thank You for Your love for me, for Your mercy, and Your sacrifice.

Praise comes naturally when we count our blessings
